Although golf is a competitive sport, every time I step onto the links, it’s not me competing against the other people in my group, it’s me versus myself. To me, the real game of golf is an inner game. What do I mean? When I play golf, I play in two boxes: my think box and my play box.

In a time of global crisis where people are forced to live in isolation and separation, where fear has gripped many people and weaken their immune systems, I had the thought: It is impossible to quarantine love. And what is love? It’s the intangible, ineffable, non-local, transcendent engine of connection that bridges our humanity with our divinity. So with the idea of spreading and amplifying the frequency of love around the world, we created the GOLOV-20 campaign.
Early in the morning on Sunday, April 26th, 2020, I joined a call with one of my team leaders in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as several other people from around the world. We were celebrating and discussing the results of a group of individuals who had committed to 365 days of at least one daily remote-coherence healing (sometimes they do more than one) for people with different health afflictions. Not only did this committed group of individuals meditate on healing people with various health conditions—which included both children and adults with cancer, children in comas, people with mental health issues, neurological conditions, respiratory issues, Lyme Disease, cardiovascular disease, digestive issues, chronic illness, sick animals, and more—they also documented the statistical changes of their healings through a very thorough PowerPoint and an Excel spreadsheet.
As grownups, so many of us have secretly longed to not have to go to work, have a staycation, or have a personalized retreat in the comfort of our own homes. Well, here we are in the midst of the perfect opportunity to be at home, go inward, and hopefully use our time wisely, so that when this pandemic passes, we can emerge as someone new. That’s why, when it became apparent that coronavirus had become a global situation—instead of feeling victimized by the circumstances in my environment—I chose to look at it as a great opportunity brilliantly disguised as a somewhat impossible situation.

Time and again our research has demonstrated how, after just four days of opening your heart (activating your fourth energy center, which you do by feeling heart-centered elevated emotions), something extraordinary happens. The body starts naturally releasing an antibody made from your immune cells (white blood cells) called Immunoglobulin A (IgA). We have witnessed and scientifically measured how, in less than one week, we can strengthen our immune system—without the use of any exogenous substance—by as much as 50%.
The role of the autonomic nervous system (meaning “automatic”) is to automatically regulate your body's physiology by mobilizing various chemical and electrical signals to different parts of the body. All of these vast biological functions that create inner balance and homeostasis are occurring behind the scenes of your conscious awareness.
Most recently at our workshop in Indian Wells, California, we conducted a study with 32 people, each of whom agreed to have their brains scanned before, during, and after the weeklong meditation retreat. As mentioned in the previous post, we drew pre- and post-blood samples from the same volunteer test subjects. To measure different values and baselines, some of the brain scans included pre-event scans with the students’ eyes open, eyes open on a task, eyes closed, and eyes closed in a meditation. Students that were involved in the study were also divided into a novice group (less than 6 months of doing our meditations) and a more advanced group (more than 6 months of doing our meditations). We also structured a placebo-based group of 32 people that did not do the meditations as a comparative study.
Over the years, in witnessing the transformational experiences in our community, I was inspired to assemble a team of research scientists to begin measuring the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual transformations that we once thought were immeasurable.
In April 2018, Tillman’s (Til) doctors detected a very aggressive cancer tumor called an anaplastic ependymoma Type 3—a rare, fast-growing tumor that most often occurs in the brain, but it can also occur in the spine. For Til, the tumor was lodged in his spinal cord between two of his vertebrae, causing the vital nerve supply to his lower body to be cut off.
Heart and brain coherence is the process whereby we learn to self-regulate and/or self-emote. This means developing our ability to generate and create emotions from within, rather than waiting for something outside of us to dictate how we feel. When we start using elevated emotions as creative energy, as we get better at the process of generating them, we no longer need to look to (or change) anything in our outer environment for us to feel happy or whole. Instead, we create elevated feelings just for the sake of healing our own heart or creating our own joy. This is not to say we will never feel down or sad, but rather, when we do fall from grace, we are able to get up and change our state of being much faster.
