Sometimes in my meditations, I get to what I call the layer. The layer is when you’re reaching, creating, or intending for that new future, event, or possibility, but perhaps your body wants to quit, your mind is reeling with to-do lists, you’re filled with doubt and frustration, or that internal voice questions whether your efforts will actually produce any results. We could call that journey through these layers, that journey through the veils, stepping into the unknown. By pressing on into the discomfort of uncertainty—or breaking out of our body’s familiar biology, neurocircuitry, neurochemistry, genetic propensities, and/or emotional conditioning—we are venturing beyond the known self for a glimpse of the unknown. In a sense, we are asking, “Who am I?”

In a time of global crisis where people are forced to live in isolation and separation, where fear has gripped many people and weaken their immune systems, I had the thought: It is impossible to quarantine love. And what is love? It’s the intangible, ineffable, non-local, transcendent engine of connection that bridges our humanity with our divinity. So with the idea of spreading and amplifying the frequency of love around the world, we created the GOLOV-20 campaign.
Heart and brain coherence is the process whereby we learn to self-regulate and/or self-emote. This means developing our ability to generate and create emotions from within, rather than waiting for something outside of us to dictate how we feel. When we start using elevated emotions as creative energy, as we get better at the process of generating them, we no longer need to look to (or change) anything in our outer environment for us to feel happy or whole. Instead, we create elevated feelings just for the sake of healing our own heart or creating our own joy. This is not to say we will never feel down or sad, but rather, when we do fall from grace, we are able to get up and change our state of being much faster.
As human beings, emotions are one of the most powerful tools and resources of creation that we possess. This means that, as the creator of our own emotions—because we are endowed with free will—at every moment we have the opportunity to choose how we think, feel, act, and react to the people, circumstances, and situations in our lives.
The end product of an experience is an emotion, and emotions are energy in motion. Because where we place our attention is where we place our energy, the stronger the emotion we have towards someone, the more we give them our attention, thus we are giving them our energy.
